Carl Paul Pietsch's Obituary
Carl Paul Pietsch, 97, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at The Villages at Lake Highland in Dallas, Texas. He was born January 5, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Max and Theresa Pietsch. He leaves his wife of 70 years, Charlene Marie Pietsch, and his brother LeRoy Pietsch, his two sons David and Fred Pietsch, and his daughter Julie Pietsch; six grandchildren Todd Pietsch, Michelle Steele, Ryan Pietsch, Evan Pietsch, Audrey Schlichenmaier, and Jill Schlichenmaier – along with seven great grandchildren. Preceding in death were Carl’s parents and two brothers Walter and Ernst Pietsch. Carl was a long time resident of Dallas where he lived since 1939. Carl served our country as a World War II veteran. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1947. Carl went on to receive his MBA from Southern Methodist University in the years following. He was very active in Boy Scouts of America and received the highest rank of Eagle Scout. All who knew Carl will miss his sense of humor and his quick wit. Carl will surely be wearing his Texas A&M ballcap when he mets Jesus. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, at 11:00a.m., at Eastminster Presbyterian Church at 6550 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas with a reception immediately following the service. Carl will be laid to rest at Restland Memorial Park at a 10:00a.m. graveside sevice on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
