Carl "Cully" William Ewert's Obituary
Carl “Cully” Ewert was born in Rock Island, Illinois on 9/27/28 to Carl William and Lillian Golden Ewert. He joined the Navy in 1948. He met the love of his life, Joyce Ludman, and they married on July 1, 1950. They had five beautiful children; Michael, Michelle, Robyn, Heidi, and Lori. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Shawn & Grant Ewert, Ryan and Cherish Combest, Michael Ortiz, and Camie & Lindsey Smathers. Cully loved baseball and his garden, and he was devoted to his church, family, and was the rock they all leaned on. Cully was handy with his hands, and could fix anything! He was a man of few words, but he didn’t need many to let you know what he was thinking. He could say it all by the twinkle in his eyes. The memorial service for Carl “Cully: Ewert will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 3:00pm at Peace Lutheran Church, 2929 South 1st Street Garland, TX 75041 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either St, Jude’s Research Hospital or the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.
