Carl L. Wright, Sr. was born on November 24, 1926 in Lancaster, Texas to Corrie Mae Haley and James H. Wright. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas and studied at Prairie View College for 2 years. He was enlisted in the Navy for 3 years. He worked for Presbyterian Hospital for 30 years in the purchasing department. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas and St. Helena Catholic Church in San Angonio, Texas. On March 4, 1950, he married EverJean Chanuler of Dallas and to this union were born Michael, Carl, Jr., Gary Paul, and Kim.He is preceded in death by his wife, EverJean Wright, both parents and a brother, L.V. Wright. Carl is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dorothy Wright of Dallas; son, Carl, Jr. of Lacey, Washington; son, Gary Paul Wright and Pete of South Orange, New Jersey; daughter, Kim and Scott Gourlay of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Wilbur and Miniie Wright of Dallas; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
