Carlann "Corky" Apple's Obituary
APPLE, CARLANN “CORKY” (Corky) went to be with the Lord February 28, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born October 6, 1936 to Mable and Carl Graham. Carlann grew up in Dallas and moved to Memphis in 1977. She and her husband of fifty years, Johnny, split their time between Memphis, TN and Oxford, MS prior to his death in 2008. Carlann spent her last five years in Dallas, under the excellent care of the staff at Sunrise on Hillcrest and Faith Presbyterian Hospice. Carlann is preceded in death by her parents and love of her life, Johnny. Her survivors include: brother Bob Graham; daughter Jane Darrow and husband Terry; daughter Julie Barnett and husband John; and son John and wife Lynn. She was “Dooey” to: Robert and Graham Barnett; Michael, Bailey and Jack Apple; and Lindsey Darrow Cobb, husband Sonny, and their daughters Taylor and Morgan. Carlann left a legacy of love and devotion to her family, friends and the Lord. We will miss her smile, laugh and sweet nature. A graveside service, for family and friends, will be held at Restland March 6 at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Salesmanship Club of Dallas, or the charity of your choice.
