Carmella Diane LaCorte's Obituary
Carmella Diane LaCorte passed away May 15th, 2023. Diane was a devoted wife, loyal friend, and loving mother. She is survived by her daughters Brandi and Victoria, her son Christopher, her husband Bill and six grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Rose.
Diane was born on March 9, 1952 to Edward and Mercede Kemp in San Antonio, Texas. Her father was career Air Force, so in childhood, she lived in many places in Texas and Louisiana. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Women’s University in 1974, and soon after became a registered nurse. Her specialty was pediatric nursing and she worked at Baylor Dallas, and several doctor’s offices.
Diane had a quiet demeanor. She never boasted about anything, except her children and grandchildren, and never missed an event that involved the children. She kept her home extremely clean and orderly. She hated to cook, but kept everyone well fed. She loved Mexican food, banana pudding and chocolate chip cookies!
Diane battled cancer for almost 13 years. She put up a brave fight and never complained. God allowed her relatively good health so she could see all her children married, and the birth of 6 grandchildren
She volunteered at church in the nursery, and in children's ministry. She never wanted to be in the spotlight, and always chose to work behind the scenes. She loved her children and grandkids with a passion! She loved Jesus and was always praying for something or somebody. She will be greatly missed!
Services will be held on Saturday, May 20th, at Lakepointe Church Firewheel, 1201 E Campbell Rd, Garland, TX 75044 with viewing at 9:00am and service at 10:00am followed by lunch.
