Carmen C. Gonzales' Obituary
Carmen Gonzales, age 88, passed away on July 26, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on July 31, 1933, in Kaufman, Texas to Pedro and Carolina Cuellar. She married Mariano S. Gonzales on May 24, 1950.
Carmen enjoyed volunteering in the sewing room at the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas along with her sisters Nora Betancourt and Carolina Moreno for over twenty years.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; Pedro and Carolina Cuellar, her husband of 59 years Mariano S. Gonzales; brothers Jose Menjarez (Julia) and David Cuellar (Sara); sister Enriqueta Castillo (John), Nancy Martinez (Lawrence), Mary Martinez (Pete), and Lillie Lozada (Felix); brothers-in-law Elias Betancourt, Luis Moreno; and daughter-in-law Kimberly Gonzales.
She was survived by sisters Nora Betancourt, Carolina Moreno and Yolanda Hernandez (Jose); daughter Linda Martinez (Arturo); sons Robert Gonzales (Renae), Mariano Gonzales, Jr.; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside burial will be at Restland Cemetery at the Court of Serenity on August 27, 2022 at 10:00a.m., across Restland Road from the Funeral Home and Memorial Chapel.
