Carmen R. James' Obituary
Carmen Rochelle James was called to her precious Lord and Savior, January 10, 2015. Awaiting her there, her dear mother and father, Betty and Virgil Poage. Those who knew her were warmed and blessed by her unwavering kindness, from her yearly batches of pumpkin bread many would find waiting on their doorsteps, to her constant presence at her grandchildren’s sports, concerts, and graduations. Carmen was born on September 12, 1940 in Tremble, Missouri. She graduation from Gower High school in 1958 and enjoyed traveling to the reunions for years to come. Carmen and her family moved to Dallas in 1969. She lives on in the hearts of her husband of 50 years, Kenny James; her beloved daughter, Brenda Jones and her husband, Doug; her two dear grandchildren who were the sunshine of her life, Preston and Erin Renfro; and brother, Darrell Poage and his wife, Sheri. The service for Carmen James will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10:00am at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Because of her love for cats, including her own tabby cat, Gini, donations may be made to In- Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue, in lieu of flowers..
