Carol Ann Campbell's Obituary
Carol Ann Rush Campbell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully in her home on May 2, 2019 at the age of 76. Carol Ann was born in Dallas, TX to Charles D and Maggie Ola Rush. She graduated from North Dallas High School. Carol Ann placed great value on education. After devoting time to her family, she enrolled in college and earned her Bachelor’s degree from UTSW.Carol Ann was deeply devoted to Jesus Christ and always active in her church mission. She was married to the love of her life, Billy Joe Campbell. They enjoyed 58 wonderful years together and have three children, Laura Campbell Vest, Gregg Campbell, and Donna Campbell. She has two beloved grandsons, Matthew Vest and Andrew Vest.Carol Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law, her brother Thomas (TomTom) Rush, and her brother-in-law David Campbell, Sr. She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her brother Charles Rush (Rosalind), her sister Cherie Rush Johnson, her son-in-law Dwayne Vest, her brothers-in-law, Leon Campbell (Jean), Ronald Campbell, and Wayne Campbell, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.Carol Ann made friends wherever she went. She was energetic, positive, cheerful, and had a smile that would light up the room. She was full of kindness and joy. She loved her family and her friends. Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed.Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, May 11, at 10:00 am in the Cox Chapel at Highland Park United Methodist Church.
