Carol was born in Dallas on August 10, 1937 and was a graduate of Sunset High School class of ’55, where she was chosen by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz as the most beautiful girl out of the whole Senior Sunset High School class. She served as a captain of the Bisonette drill team where she began developing leadership skills so often apparent later in her life. She later attended North Texas State University. Also in 1955, she married Bob Golden, settled in Oak Cliff as a homemaker and started her favorite career of her life as a mother with the births of her four children. In September of 1981, Carol married James Crowley (Jim) and gained an entire new family, raising her daughter Ginger with two new pre-teen children, John and Noelle. She also continued to build and expand her business, Prestige Electrolysis, becoming one of the leading professionals in her field in the DFW area. She was a founding director of Society for Clinical and Medical Hair Removal, where she received the Bordier Award in 2002 for outstanding achievements in the field of Electrology. Carol was an active member at First Baptist Church of Richardson. Carol had a beautiful soprano voice and loved to sing her whole life, starting as a child. At First Baptist, she participated in the adult choir and performed in an ensemble group called New Vision. She retired and sold her business in 2002 to explore other endeavors. She loved traveling around the country with Jim in their motor home, taking care of her children and grandchildren, going on cruises, and she adored her cats! Carol’s legacy is that she taught us how to love with an open heart, give of ourselves freely, forgive others, and live our lives by the Golden Rule. Carol is a shining example of mother, sister, wife, and friend and will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Richardson, at the corner of Arapaho and Central Expressway. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:30-8:30PM on Monday evening, January 6, at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave in Dallas.
