Carol Eddy's Obituary
Beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and aunt Carol Jean Eddy died April 12, 2012 with her daughter by her side in Dallas, Texas. She was born the sixth of eight children to James and Genevieve Fennell on March 2, 1955 in El Paso, Texas. Her family moved to the Dallas area when she was 8; she attended Mary Immaculate Catholic School and subsequently graduated from R. L. Turner High School in 1973. She is loved dearly by all her family and friends and will be sorely missed. She was a strong, vivacious, independent woman and a force with which to be reckoned; her enthusiasm and love for fun was infectious to everyone she knew. She was dedicated in her work, selfless in her actions for others, and passionate for her child, to whom she devoted much of her time and energy until she passed away due to infections complicated by septic organ failures at the young age of 57. She is survived by her daughter Crystal Dy; grandson Austin Brown; mother Genevieve Fennell; stepsons Jerry and Gary Eddy; brothers, James and David Fennell; sisters Mary Kathleen Dennis, Maureen Covington, Rita Dixon, Margaret Pourrezai, and Catherine Stuart; and 18 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Fennell. Funeral arrangements are with Restland Funeral Home and services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 12:30pm at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
