Carol Ann Graham's Obituary
Carol Ann Hetherington Graham lived a beautiful life. She loved and was loved. She was humble and kind. She excelled for many years as a schoolteacher, happily helping children learn and grow. Carol enjoyed a large and active family, and she loved supporting her children and grandchildren in their various pursuits.
Carol was born in Sherman, Texas, on September 6, 1944, and entered the glory of heaven on September 22, 2022. In her 78 years of life, Carol shined brightly as a servant of Jesus who ministered to many. She leaves a legacy of humility and grace.
Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Frank. She is also survived by many family members and friends, including son Trey and his wife Bretta Graham, daughter Emily and her husband Casey Stroud, grandchildren Ty, Allie, Madeline, Ross, Avery, John, Graham and Andy, and brother, David and his wife Cc Hetherington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Dorothy Hetherington, her sister, Susan Schenck, and her nephew, Todd Schenck.
Carol Hetherington and Frank Graham met on a blind date and were given the privilege of more than 50 years of marriage. This couple gave decades of their lives to serving the Lord and blessing others in the name of Jesus through Chapel of Hope, a prison ministry they founded and led. Their ministry to the “least of these” was modeled on the calling of the Savior in Matthew 25.
Although she faced the struggles of illness in her final days, Carol maintained a joyful spirit and was always thrilled to spend time with her family. Carol, always the loving grandmother, leaves behind 8 grandchildren who adored their Gigi and will always remember her smile and her laugh.
The Graham family would like to thank the Westmore Senior Living staff for their care and assistance. The family also thanks the multitude of friends who have reached out with messages of hope and encouragement. The many prayers and condolences are greatly appreciated.
