NIX, CAROL JEAN STARLING, was born April 15, 1937 in Dallas, Texas and passed away January 1, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Electa Starling; sister, Shirley Byrd; and nephew, Larry Byrd. Carol is survived by her husband, Gene Nix Sr.; sons, Gene Nix Jr. and wife, Sandy, Gary Nix and wife, Janis; nephew, Fred Byrd; grandchildren, Angie and Trans Bell, Tiffany and Jeff Millstead, Brandie and William Bohmer, Daniel and Courtnie Nix, Chance and Jennifer Nix, Stephen Nix; and great grandchildren, Madeliene, McKayla, Hannah, Lily, Matthis, Gracie, Jackson, Annabelle, Beckett, Damien, Briston. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed her life being spent entertaining family and friends. GO COWBOYS!! Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
