Caroline Mabel Hughes' Obituary
Born April 16, 1906 in St. Louis, MO and passed away March 12, 2007. She also lived in Portland, OR, San Fransisco, CA, and Chicago, IL before moving to Dallas in 1929. She was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church for many years and served as the first president of the Priscilla Sunday School Class. She was a former president of the Methodist Hospital Guild and the Twentieth Century Book Club. Mrs. Hughes was a former member of the Green Leaves Garden Club, the Porcelain Art Guild, the Shubert Choral Club, the Mary Paul Book Club, the Echo Book and Luncheon Club, the Dallas Symphony League and the Dallas Country Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harvey Bailey Hughes and a daughter, Patricia Jean Hughes Credille. She is survived by a son, Bailey Asher Hughes of Pasadena, TX; grandson, Michael Parker Credille of Austin, TX; loving caregivers, Deborah Gardner and Mary Lou Nelson; numerous nieces and nephews.
