Carollyn Guidry's Obituary
Carollyn Bassham Guidry, 80, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Dallas, TX. Visitation will be held from 5:00 -7:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue. Commital Service will be held at 10:15 AM, Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. Carollyn was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Howard Bassham and Ruth Winn. Carollyn was a pillar in her neighborhood and community where she was a part of the North Dallas Womens Club for 10 years, Geneology and Zodiak Clubs of Dallas, a Garden Club Member, a Classic Literature Book Club member, the Bunco Club, and a member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. She was a true treasure to those who knew her and will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her, mother, Ruth Winn; father, Howard Bassham; son, Jarrett Guidry and wife, Vicki; and great-aunts, May, Eunice and Lyda; great uncles, Wyley, Grover, Harve, and Jewell. Carollyn is survived by her loving husband, Monte Guidry; son, Tod Guidry; grandchildren, Paige and Cortney Guidry; and 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marillyn Scholl and Howard Bassham; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Scleroderma.org or a cancer charity of your choice.
