Carolyn Jane Anspach's Obituary
Carolyn Jane Anspach (Lewis) passed away peacefully on July 15, 2023, in Plano, Texas. She was 81 years old.
Born February 14, 1942, to the late Harlan and Mozelle (Lowe) Lewis in Ocoee, Tennessee. She graduated in 1960 from Colonial High School in Orlando, Florida.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Garry Lee Anspach; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eric and Adele (Wirth) Anspach; and brother, Paul Wayne Lewis.
She is survived by her children: Tracy Michael Anspach and his wife Dawn (Bissell); and daughter Terri Danielle Anspach. Grandchildren: Javier Andres Garza, Olivia Cristina and her husband John Michael Fuhrmann, Joseph Adam Garza, Liliana Theresa Garza, Nicole Rose Anspach, Natalie Danielle Anspach, Nathan Michael Anspach, and great-granddaughter Lena Catherine Fuhrmann. Brother Scott Sanford Lewis and wife Jennifer, niece Alexandra Elizabeth and her husband Brian Collum, sister-in-law Irma Lewis, nephew Joshua Paul Lewis and Jennifer Boley, niece Lysha Lynne and husband Patrick Ivy and grandnieces Elise & Laney, and grandnephew Grant Ivy.
Carolyn loved retirement with her husband Garry and made some wonderful memories travelling in their motorhome around the country. Her greatest joy was being “Meme” to her seven grandchildren and was overjoyed to have the chance to meet her great granddaughter.
If you knew Carolyn, you knew what a big personality she had. She was outspoken, highly intelligent, and loved BIG. She was incredibly protective of those she loved and had the gift of making one feel important and special to her in her own way.
A private Celebration of Life will be held Sunday September 3, 2023, in Cypress, Texas.
