Carolyn Foster's Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn Ann Foster, 91, of Richardson, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on April 25th, 2024. Carolyn was born on March 5th, 1933, in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Carry Clark and Josie Tabor Clark. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and married Alvin E. Foster in December of 1953. They moved to Dallas in 1954 where she worked at Texas Instruments until 1958 when Alvin graduated from dental school. Carolyn and Alvin then moved to Richardson, Texas later that same year. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Richardson for 63 years and cherished her relationship with the Lord above all else. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 49 years. She is survived by her three children Suzanne Moseley, Erik Foster, and Bryan Foster, three grandchildren, Jason Guthrie, Walter Foster, and Jessica Davis, sister Eloise Epperson, and half-brother George Williams. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed a peaceful life tending to her flower garden, reading, and spending time with her family and beloved schnauzer, Snazzy. Although we mourn her loss, we know our sorrow is selfish as her soul now rests in her Heavenly Home. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of a life well-lived trusting in the Lord, and we look forward to the day that we will meet again.
For those that wish to join in celebrating the life of Carolyn, her memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Richardson on Wednesday afternoon, June 12th at 2pm. Carolyn and family kindly request that in lieu of flowers, any memorial gifts be made to First United Methodist Church of Richardson. A private family graveside service will be held at 12pm at Restland Cemetery to place her ashes next to her beloved husband Alvin.
