Carolyn Johnson Straw's Obituary
Born August 2, 1932 in Marietta, OK and passed away August 3, 2016 in Plano, TX. Carolyn received an associates degree from North Texas and was a Medical Technologist. She got married on January 14, 1961, was a longtime member of Community Christian Church. An active member in numerous charities in the community as well as in her church and a member of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard Straw; and parents. Survived by daughters, Monica Straw Wallek and spouse Patrick; Eden Straw Watson and spouse, Douglas, as well as numerous cousins and friends. Family received friends on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Community Christian Church, 1300 Holly Drive, Richardson, TX 75080 or Camp Sweeney, 10687 FM 678, Whitesboro, TX 76273. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
