Carolyn Babb Sheftall-Peters' Obituary
We mourn the passing of Carolyn Babb Peters, 92, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who departed this world on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024.
Born on January 18th, 1932, Carolyn, also known as Memaw, lived a life of remarkable kindness, faith, and devotion. She was cherished by all who knew her for her selflessness and unwavering love. She married her soulmate, John Peters in 1958 at the age of 26, which they raised two children, Tim and Mary. Through her lifetime, Carolyn touched the lives of so many with her compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be forever cherished by the people in her life. While we mourn her loss deeply, we will take comfort in knowing that Carolyn will be at peace with God and reunited with her daughter, Mary, sister, Dorothy, and husband, John. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, the place where Carolyn spent most of her week being surrounded by friends and God. May she rest in eternal peace.
