I worked with Carrell at TI and I think we started the same year. I loved talking to him. I met him in the SC Bldg when Payroll was in the dungeon (or so it seemed). Then we worked in the same building (Park Central) . I would make it a point to stop by and talk to him. He was a wealth of knowledge with payroll stuff. Every time I needed help, he was my rock. Always so patient, always so kind, always so welcoming. I loved that guy. Most recently, I'm glad that we were connected in Facebook and I could keep up with what he was up to. My heart hurt when I received the news of his passing.
Hinton family I am so sorry for your loss and will be praying as he leaves a void.
I loved his memorial service, the music, the facilitator, all that was said. I know Carrell would have been pleased.

I had the opportunity to work with Carrell occasionally at TI. I was always struck by the depth and breadth of his knowledge. He was sharp and quick witted with a great sense of humor. I admired the way he confronted and overcame his physical limitations. He was a special person!

Please know that Carrell's family is in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. It was a privilege working with Carrell over the many years at TI. He was always helpful in providing needing information. Since his retirement, he has been missed!

Carrell was one of the most likeable people we have ever known. We'll never forget our journey through Yellowstone with him after Charlie and Elizabeth's wedding.
One day, we couldn't decide whether one of the buffalo up by the concession stand at Old Faithful was live or stuffed. He was in the process of shedding and looked really ratty.
Not a muscle was moving. And then, that buffalo slowly closed and opened his eyes. Carrell and I thought he was stuffed...but not. And we were all way too close.
Special days and memories. We'll miss Carrell.

I think I was born knowing Carroll he was part of my family .He actually came and visited with my Mama every once in a while until she passed .He was always a great big brother to me and although we didn't get to visit much .I loved him dearly along with Charlie and Chris .I certainly will keep all of you in his prayers because a world without Carroll is definitely lacking a big piece of goodness.Rip Carroll

My heart is saddened because I have lost a great friend. Not only was Carrell a friend to me, he was a friend to many. Carrell had a way of listening, and when needed, he would easily give you wise counsel. He had a spirit of helping others and he also had a spirit of giving. But more importantly, he gave of himself.
