Until today I did not know Mr. Brown had completed his earthly journey. I worked for him at Placid Oil from 1977-1988. I will always call him Mr. Brown even when he said I could call him Dan. Mr. Brown believed in the employees and always fought for us tooth and toenail. We all knew this. Thanks to my education at Placid, I'm now a Telecom Programmer doing very well. Mr. Brown was so kind to me when my mom died. I was afaid I was taking too much time off, but he assured me everything was OK. This past weekend my company President completed his earthy journey. As with Mr Brown, to a person all of the employees respected him. He knew no rank in the workplace, as Mr. Brown. To the Brown family, please know you are in my prayers and thoughts. We will miss Dan so much. He has always been a joy to our family. His friendly smile and wave every time we pass by, seeing him lovingly walk the dog every day, generous Halloween treats for our kids every year, wonderful Christmas light displays, beautiful flowers in the yard, are only a part of the wonderful memories we have. It was nice to see you all today. I just wish I hadn't let so much time go by. I wanted so badly to see Uncle Dan. He was truly a special and one-of-a-kind man. I picture him and Joe in paradise throwing back a vodka martini (if they allow that!) Those two were the best. You are ALL in my prayers.
