Carroll Doigg's Obituary
Carroll Doigg passed away on Monday May 8th, 2018. He is survived by his son Stan Doigg and wife, Cathey of Rockwall, two grandchildren, Jeffrey Doigg and wife Elissa of Rockwall, and Jonathan Doigg and wife Carisa of Royse City . He has five great grandchildren, Clayton Doigg and wife CJ, Colton Doigg and Shellby, Nathan Stover, Brianna, and Bryce Doigg. He has one great-great grandchild, Witten Doigg. Also surviving are cousins John and Peggy Hansen and daughter Joyce.He was born in Elmo, Texas and grew up in Forney Tx where he graduated from high school. After graduating from high school, he worked at North American Aircraft where he built bombers for the war effort in WW II. There, he met Meraye Doigg, fell in love and married in 1944. He worked for Wilson Engraving Company for 50 years and retired at the age of 75. He and Meraye were members of Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas since the 1950’s. They lived in the same house in Dallas for 57 years before they moved to Rockwall.Carroll and Meraye had a passion for gardening and produced a lot of vegetables for themselves and gave away much to family and friends. They volunteered for the White Rock Center of Hope for many years.A visitation for Carroll will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
