Carroll Yount Stewart's Obituary
Carroll was born in Austin, TX on November 13, 1941. His father was Clarence Stewart, and his mother was Stella Stewart. With 6 brothers and 2 sisters, they did not have many material things growing up, but they had much love and a lot of fun. He was motivated to become a successful businessman in work ethic and integrity.Carroll and Carolyn (Tetens) married on April 10, 1963 in Austin, TX. They then moved to Dallas with their children, David and Allison, where he also started and ran a successful business. He took care of his employees and family and treated them more like a family than a business. He was recognized as an early innovative entrepreneur in his industry.Carroll loved working outdoors, being at the lake with family, and celebrating special occasions with the family. He loved his home and having all the family with him on Sundays when the grandkids were growing up. He had a gift for making everyone he met feel welcome and was generous to all. He loved traveling, tinkering with old cars, watching his Longhorns and Cowboys, and telling anyone who would listen how good the Lord had been to him. Carroll was a faithful follower of Christ at Arapaho Baptist Church in Garland, TX.Carroll is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; his son, David Stewart; his daughter, Allison Moody and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Aven & Liam Stewart, Ansley & Austin Marquardt, and Lorali & Brayden Moody; brothers, Alton Stewart & Kenneth Stewart, both of Austin, TX.Visitation for Carroll will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 2:30 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.Funeral arrangements for Mr. Carroll Stewart have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
