Caryl and I were in the same Sunday School class at First Baptist Church in Crockett. Our teacher was Ms. Carpenter (also taught us art in school). I think we were in 6th or 7th grade. Caryl was so nice to everyone and also so smart.

I had the pleasure of meeting Nurse Caryl White back in 2001, She along with other longtime Nurses have a laid a solid foundation on which several others have built great things.
I will forever remember her drive, loyalty, and love for children and yet her stern belief in doing the right thing at all times.

I had the privilege of serving in the health services of the DISD for many years. Caryl was always a fierce advocate for children and her philosophy of dealing with any problem was "let cut to the chase". Her actions always brought respect to all school nurses.
Caryl was a loving and nurturing mentor and friend. I learned a lot from her while working as a school nurse. She will be greatly missed!! My prayers go out to her loved ones.
I just knew Caryl from the time she lived in the Group Home my Mother lived in there in Plano. She was always so much fun during my Monday and Thursday visits. I would ask her if she was behaving? And I would say don’t you lie to me. She would say why would I do that? I will miss hearing her say grace when it was her turn to pray at dinnertime. I will miss her a lot.
