Casey Edward Palms' Obituary
Palms, Casey Edward 17 years old. Born 2/18/1993 and passed away 6/26/2010. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Chapel services will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning. Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243. Casey was the son of Ernie Palms and Rosalee Ropp Palms both of Plano Texas and Grandparents Melvin Ropp Sr and Crystal Ropp. Casey graduated from Jasper High School and had plans to attend Plano Senior High in the fall. Casey had developed an interest in gold, silver and rare coins and wanted to be a rare coin dealer just like his Dad. He gravitated to that world and was very good at it. He loved his Labrador Retriever and enjoyed hunting. He had a passion for paintball, driving his car, playing his guitar, playing football and hanging out with his friends. Survivors on mother’s side of the family include the following: Rosalee Ropp Palms, mother, Melvin J. Ropp Sr and wife Crystal Ropp-grandparents Melvin J. Ropp Jr.-uncle, Shane Patrick Ropp-uncle, Shane Parrish Ropp, cousin. Survivors on father’s side of the family include the following: Ernest Edward Palms-father and wife Donna Smith Palms, brother and sisters: Preston Smith, Kyle Smith, Lauren Smith. Uncles and aunts: Norman and Ann Palms, Bess Butterworth, Harold Butterworth. Cousins include: Ed and Beverly Palms, Morgan Palms, Dorothy Palms.
