Catherine Danna Fair's Obituary
FAIR, CATHERINE BERNICE DANNA 90, died peacefully, Monday, July 21, 2014, at her home in Dallas. Catherine was a first-generation American, born November 28, 1923, in Dallas, to Antonio and Nuncia Danna. She graduated from North Dallas High School in 1941, where she met her life-long love, David Jackson Fair. In 1944, while on leave from his post with the U.S. Navy, he and Catherine married. They raised four daughters and were married 64 years before his death in 2008. While caring for her family and helping with Jack’s business, Catherine worked for the head buyer at J.C. Penney’s headquarters. She later became a secretary to the director of the SMU Band, where many Mustang Band alumni from the late 1960s through the 1980s, fondly remember her as “Cathy” or “Mom”. Catherine is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jack. She is survived by daughters, Virginia Fair Hale of Carrollton, Patty Fair Wright of Gunter, Catherine Fair Womack of The Woodlands, and Jacqueline Fair Isaly of Houston. She was the proud grandmother of Brad Seal of Dallas, Meghan Womack of New York City, Brett Womack of The Woodlands, Jackson Isaly, and William Isaly of Houston. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, July 25, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
