Oh Cappy, too many memories to list! We've been close friends since I first met you at Fort Logan in 1969, where I was a new staff nurse and you were my Team Leader. We lived in the next block to each other on South Downing St. for the last 40 years, which I think helped affirm our close friendship. We walked (-with your doggies) along the canal, talked on the phone, worked together on the Fort Logan 50th reunion, had coffee and cookies together countless times at your dining room table, reminisced and shared about our respective work careers and personal lives, went to Democratic caucuses together and fumed at political outrages and various human behaviors, compared notes on everything, with our many common interests. We were both New England Yankees, you from Massachusetts (-whose accent you never, ever lost!) and me from Connecticut. Sometimes we marveled at life on this planet, it was neat to share curiosity, surprise and interest in almost everything with you!
It was a huge wrench for me in July of 2018 to have you and Manon and Ginger leave, to make a new home in Texas; to this day, that house on Downing is "Cappy and Manon's house"; even the new owners call it that!
So your moving on from your corporeal life leaves an immeasureably large hole in my life; I will always love and miss you, and will never, ever forget you. Thank you. Rebecca Watt
