My favorite memory of Catherine was her sense of humor, her laugh and enthusiasm In Newspaper class junior year of high school in Midland, Texas. She was warm, friendly, dug me, loved alternate rockers like Big Country and was a big fan of the The Hooters and the Wiseguy detective show. She was just so COOL, easy-going, kind, and I loved to try to make her laugh. I met her parents, Ernest and Maria, (may Maria receive her daughter in Heaven,)and Catherine's siblings, Chris, Jennifer, Tim and Jim. My friend, Scott James, also became friends with her, we both dug Catherine, and loved to crack her up with our antics. Catherine and I became friends from 1986 Newspaper class until losing touch in 2024. As years progressed, we carefully and gently dealt with the fondness, deep love, and feelings of love she had developed for me, respecting our friendship always, I did my best to call her or send her a birthday card on July 24th, her birthday. She was my oldest friend from that dust bowl "Tall City", I am honored to have been her friend, and we loved each other, glad I told her that, on our last call, and I hope it was easy for her to hear it. Her favorites were chocolate cake, orchids and the color maroon, she adored Ireland, and her passion, outside of her longtime partner, Lance, her muse were those BANDS, those musicians that she'd fly to Philly and other places to see. She loved them so much. Hohhh, Man, this is hard. A beautiful light and soul left us in Catherine's departure. Love is forever, Catherine, and you have mine for eternity.
