I remember Cathi being such a warrior, fighting her cancer. And, she was so self desciplined. Walking many miles each day, usually with music in her ears. And, if she traveled, I also remember her going walking in different places by herself. Never afraid. She truly enjoyed her walks. I also remember her telling me about some of her therapy. She began singing as good exercise for her throat while at the same time, exercising her body on machines. She was so VERY inspirational. And, I don't remember a time when she was happier. She turned the cancer on its EAR! So proud of her! She began to be a familiar figure in our neighborhood. Very friendly who would offer a sympathetic ear. I'm still shocked that your gone. RIP, lovely lady!
So many of my childhood memories involve my years with my Rainbow soccer family. The Ross family was one of many incredible families that have remained in touch even after all those years. My favorite memory of Cathi is when she taught me to swim. I was terrified of the deep end of the pool...actually water that I couldn't stand up in. She told my momma she could teach me to swim in a just a few minutes and sent my her to the store. While she was gone, Cathi some how talked me into trusting her enough to jump off the diving board. She promised me she would be right there when I surfaced. She was not. Ha! She was actually way at the other end of the pool. She yelled for me to swim to her. Panicking, I'm sure I looked like a crazy person as I paddled for dear life, but I made it to her. Needless to say, Mom was shocked when she returned and saw me swimming with no fear!
MRoss family, my heart is broken for you all. Please know that you have all been in my prayers as you navigate through this difficult time. Big hugs.

Cathi loved her family so much, she would always say “I would love to go back and do it all over again” she was proud of her children and grandkids, and she had a big heart for animals, I’ll miss our bi weekly chats in your office. Rest peacefully🙏
The one thing I will always remember about Cathi is how much she loved being a Wife and Mother , the last time we talked she said “I would love to go back and do it all over again” she was proud of her kids and grandkids, she had a big heart for animals, she was kind, funny, and a great conversationalist, I will miss our bi weekly chat sessions in your office. Cathi was always fun. I remember how much she and my mom loved to chat. She was always ready to give me her opinions on life in general and mine in particular and she was usually right. I've known Cathi as a backup mom when I was growing up and then lately as an extra pair of eyes to make sure my mom was safe in recent years. She will be greatly missed.
I will never forget the random late night dance parties listening to your old 45s, or the spring break trips to Galveston, and always stopping at Texas Burger on the way. I’m so proud of all the personal goals you accomplished, and it will forever be your voice in my head telling me what you think I should do. I love you mom. I am completely heartbroken, but I am so glad that you can enjoy all the things you used to do, free from pain.
