Cathryne "Kay" Miller's Obituary
Cathryne Virginia “Kay” Miller passed away peacefully May 16, 2016 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 96. She is survived by son, Tim Miller and wife Talou; daughter, Suzanne Williams and husband, David; daughter, Linda Wilson; 6 grandchildren; Tad Miller and wife Kristin, Tori Godinez and husband Adam; Erin Williams and Jennifer Ensley and husband Ethan; Michael Wilson and wife Kathleen and Leslie Cashin and husband Bill; 11 great grandchildren; Josephine and Adelaide Miller, Jackson and Mia Godinez, Lauren and Hayden Ensley, Max de Jong, Kiersten and Marissa Wilson, Jacob and Allyson Cashin. Kay and her husband Hugh were married for 59 years before his passing in 2000. She and Hugh took great pleasure in family gatherings, beautifying their yard, days on the golf course, summers spent in Colorado and serving their church and community. Kay also enjoyed a long career in the Richardson ISD. She also had many close and dear friends with whom she shared life’s happy and sad moments. Kay had a pivotal influence on her children’s lives inspiring them spiritually and teaching them to strive to be their best. To her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren she could not have been a better mother, grandmother or great grandmother. We love you very much, Mama Kay! The family would like to thank all of the staff of the Villages of Lake Highlands and Pathways Hospice who provided our mother with thoughtful loving care during her final years. And a special thanks to Wilshire Baptist Church for their love and commitment to her and our family. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Wilshire Baptist Church, McIver Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
