Cathy Carrell Parker's Obituary
Cathy Carrell Parker, 66 of Dallas was born on January 14th, 1955 to Charles S. and Anne M. Carrell, in San Antonio, Texas. She passed away on August 9, 2021 in Denton, Texas. Cathy was a 1973 graduate of W.T. White High school in Dallas where she was recognized by the national honor society for her grades. She studied music at Baylor University, and had a long and successful career in the insurance industry.
Cathy loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She sang in the church choir, the school choir, an A Capella group that went to all-state competitions; she sang at weddings, karaoke, and sang along to whatever music she heard.
Cathy is remembered for her zest for life, quick wit, and smile. From snow skiing and ocean cruises with friends, to singing karaoke and Galveston party weekends with her Bluto’s girls, Cathy was always the life of the party. She loved comedy shows (especially Bowley and Wilson), dressing up on Halloween, spending weekends at the lake, and her beloved Pomeranian, Wolfy.
She is preceded in death by Charles S. and Anne M. Carrell. She is survived by her brother C. Kirk Carrell of Denton, two nieces Jaclyn A. Carrell of Lewisville and Mikala R. Bravo of Lewisville, her best friends Sherrie Dolph and Sharon Cockerhan-Stanish, and countless number of other friends and family.
A memorial service will be held August 27, 2021, 2:00 pm, at Restland Wildwood Chapel. A graveside service will be held at the Court of Veterans II, where she will be inurned with her parents.
