Cayle Hoyet Carson's Obituary
Doomie Carson, 93, of Richardson, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009. He was born May 6, 1916 in Carlton, Texas to Tommy and Ethel Carson. He was a lifelong resident of Texas and loved the outdoor life of fishing, hunting and farming. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII in the 894th Tank Destroyer Battalion from March 1941 to September 1945 and retired in 1981 from construction work. He is survived by his wife, Truda Carson, of 34 years; and four step children: Linda Waide and husband Robbie Ottwell of Carrollton, Carol McWhorter and husband Ronnie of Grandview, Charles Wilkerson and wife Sherry of Point, and Dana Webber and husband Ken of Belton. Of 14 siblings, he is survived by brothers “Pete” Carson, Clinton “Dooder” Carson, and “Junior Carson and sister, Marie Carson Gailley. He is beloved by 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two step sons, Larry Wilkerson and Howard Howington; his wife, Anne; his parents; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. He will be interred in the Garden of Prayer at Restland Cemetery.
