CB Davis' Obituary
DAVIS, CAREY BLAKLEY of Dallas, TX, at the tender age of 93, was welcomed with warm and gentle opened arms into his eternal home of rest on August 31, 2013. CB as he was known by many, born to his parents Ella and Frank Davis on April 12, 1920 in Whitesboro, TX. CB was raised on a farm in Whitesboro, TX, which established his lifelong love of being outdoors. He graduated from Whitesboro High School, and served as a US Army Sergeant in the South Pacific during World War II. He worked as an Aircraft & Electrical Mechanic at Convair Aircraft Company in the 1950s. He owned and operated Davis Construction Company for 30 years, installing cables for telephone service to many parts of the Dallas area. CB loved to dance, garden and spend time with his family. He was a fixture in his North Dallas community where he often helped do repairs, fix cars, build fences, and help kids in the neighborhood with various projects. CB was a kind and loving father and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Carey Blakley Davis “C B” has again been reunited with his Father E. Frank Davis, Mother Ella Davis, Sister Frances Davis, and his Wife Connie Shields Davis all welcomed CB home. C B leaves to remember a life well lived full of Joy, Dedication, Devotion, and Love to his former Wife Nelda Jo Davis Dallas TX; Son Blake Davis and Wife Carrie Houston, TX Extended Son Jerry Shields and Wife Kim Columbus, GA; Daughters Teresa Hastings and Husband Alan Dallas, TX; Melissa Blizzard and Husband Howard McKinney, TX; Extended Daughter Cathy Shields Dallas, TX; Grandchildren Taylor Millender and husband Michael, Sarah and Julianne Hastings; Brittany, Chase and Jason Blizzard; and Jordan, Morgan, Paige, and Jared Shields; Great Granddaughter, Kinsley Harrison. Visitation will be from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Friday, September 6, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9:30AM, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
