Cecile K. Gann's Obituary
Cecile K. Gann, age 95, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away 04-08-2011. She was born in Clarksville, TX, on March 25, 1916. She grew up in Vernon, TX, where she graduated valedictorian from Vernon High School. She married George Gann in 1936 and eventually moved to Lubbock, TX. She later moved to Plano, TX, and worked for State Farm Insurance until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Plano, and dearly loved all her church friends. Her Christian faith and lifestyle was an inspiration to everyone. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and we will miss her sweet smile and loving spirit. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Sue Bailey and her husband Dennis, James Gann and his wife Peggy, and Janet Crepps and her husband Glenn, along with 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Dayspring Assisted Living and Vitas Hospice for their loving care. A visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Monday, April 11, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 12:30PM Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
