My favorite memories of my Aunt Celeta are of our Round Top antiquing trips. Celeta was a delight to travel with and always up for an adventure. One trip we shopped right through a tornado warning siren! That night the hotel front desk said we should come down to the lobby because another tornado was headed toward the town we were staying in. I went down to Celeta's room and knocked on the door. I said I think we need to go downstairs until this passes...she paused then looked over at her sister in law Judy (who was already in bed) and said "I think we are just going to go to bed!" She gave trust in the Lord a whole new meaning that night!
Celeta loved to shop and look for treasures but meeting people and visiting with us and enjoying our lovely picnics under the big Texas oak trees were the true highlight for her. She also adored the wildflowers on our spring trips, the bluebonnets especially. Our last Round Top trip was spring 2016, we had a ball. That trip was especially fun because my Dad (her brother) went along too. He drove us all over and would fetch us water or a cookie upon request. It was fun to see their brother/sister dynamic up close. We will miss her so much- we already do! Thank you Celeta for being such a wonderful Aunt to me, until we meet again I will cherish our sweet memories and keep them close while remembering your beautiful smile and laughter. I love you, Natalie
