Celia Norma Sanez's Obituary
SANEZ, CELIA NORMA Celia Norma (Pallavicini) Sanez passed away peacefully on the early morning of June 8, 2012 with her children at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Her loving husband, Americo Luis Sanez, precedes her in death. Celia is survived by her two sons: Sebastian Luis Sanez and wife Cory; Guillermo (Billy) Sanez and wife Jessica and her five grandchildren, Marco, Carlotta, Carlo, Liam and Alessandro. Her two older sisters also survive her, Marta and Angela (Quica). A daughter of Italian immigrants, she was born on September 7, 1937 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and grew up in the Belgrano neighborhood. Celia graduated from her tertiary studies with a degree in education and worked as an elementary school teacher and educational counselor for more than 25 years. She married Americo Luis (Pecky) in 1968 and settled in the town of Vicente Lopez. In 1985, Celia and her husband moved their family to Texas, settling in Richardson. She with her family later moved to Plano and made one final move on her own to her home in North Dallas. After her move to Texas, Celia and her family started a flower business – Celia’s Florist – where she ran the business until her retirement in 2007. She was very active in community and social activities, serving as an officer in various posts in the Centro Argentino Dallas/Fort Worth. Celia loved to travel with her friends, and had visited Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean and the Americas in the past few years. She loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile and laugh that could light up a room. Celia’s drive, determination, counsel, love and affection are only a few of her extraordinary characteristics that will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and her loving group of friends, whom she considered to be her extended family.
