Chandler Sloane Newsome's Obituary
Chandler Sloane Newsome was born on April 12, 2001, at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He was raised in Garland, TX until he and his family relocated to Forney, TX in March of 2020. He was a publisher in the Heritage Hill Congregation, although English Richardson was always home.
When he was born his parents’ initial reaction was, “That’s a white boy!”, because he was as pale as snow. His family even teased that he had been switched at birth. In time, however, his caramel color set in, assuring them that Chandler was in fact theirs.
As a boy Chandler loved wearing blue jeans and didn’t want to wear anything else. He was also a fan of wearing sports jerseys but would refer to them as “majerseys”. (No one knows why.) Chandler enjoyed playing with Tech Decks, and his favorite movie was The Temptations. Whenever there was a family movie night, that was his only suggestion. Although he was reserved in his early years, the older he got the more gregarious he became. It was a joy to see him flourish and blossom.
Chandler prided himself on making those around him laugh and smile. He would often tout that he was the funniest person we know. Many times, the sound of his high-pitched laugh was funnier than what he had actually said.
Chandler graduated from Naaman Forest High School in 2019. He later attended Dallas College, receiving an Associate of Applied Science degree in Cyber Security. He also had a passion for video technology; in fact, his favorite assignment was doing A/V at the Kingdom Hall.
His favorite hobbies were playing video games with his friends, watching football with his dad, playing card and board games with his family, and watching anime. While he found pleasure in the aforementioned activities, his relationship with his heavenly Father, Jehovah, is what took precedence in his life. He made his priorities known when he symbolized his dedication to God by water baptism on August 22,2015. He tried his hardest to live in accord with the advice found at Matthew 6:33 which says, “Keep on, then, seeking first the Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you.” It was his goal to join the LDC (Local Design/Construction Department) and to serve as a ministerial servant in the congregation.
Chandler is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Joe Paul Newsome and Maxine Jones Newsome, and by his maternal grandparents, Clem Seaton and Mabel Lewis Seaton. Chandler is survived by his parents, Edgar Dale Newsome and Carrie Michele Newsome (née Seaton), his two sisters, Brandi Samone Newsome and Kendra Ashlee Newsome, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Chandler loved people and looked forward to spending forever with his friends and family in Paradise.
A Service for Chandler Sloane Newsome will be Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses 2514 N Jupiter Rd, Garland, TX 75044
