Mrs. Charleen Raphael Hranicky's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Charleen Raphael HranickyJuly 7, 1943 – February 12, 2019 Charleen Hranicky passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, February 12th with her loving, devoted husband of nearly 54 years by her side. Charleen met the love of her life, James Rudolph Hranicky Jr. (aka Rudy) at Bryan Adams High School where they both attended school. However, their uncontested love affair did not begin until a few years after high school graduation. They were married at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Dallas, TX on May 28th, 1965.Charleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who made sure all of her kids were at all of their activities on time, all the time. While supporting all her children’s extracurricular activities, working a full-time job, taking care of the yard and house duties, she managed to make sure the family always sat together for a home cooked meal every night. Charleen was a 21st-century woman who figured out how to do it all and never complained about having too much to do. She attended every sporting event and her boisterous voice, full of support and pride, could be heard throughout every game.Charleen was the cheerleading coach and avid supporter for her daughter, Amy while also acting as the secretary of the booster club for her star football son, Brady, at Lakeview Centennial High School. She also donated her time to the rodeo concession stand in support of her cowboy son, Cory. As a continued sign of support and love for their late son Ricky, Charleen and Rudy, worked for St. Michael’s ministry and volunteered time providing meals to HIV/AIDS patients. For roughly a decade, Charleen worked at her church counting mass collections.She was preceded in death by her Oklahoma Sooner father “Bud” Raphael Arthur Boudreau, her mother Hazel Schooling Boudreau Killmar, her stepfather Jim (aka Jaw) Killmar, her younger brother John Boudreau and her ever-loving and devoted son Richard Eugene Hranicky.As Charleen joins her deceased loved ones, she leaves behind her husband, James Rudolph Hranicky Jr. (aka Rudy), her son James Cory Hranicky along with his children Courtney, Nicholas and Tommy, and great-grandchildren Rikki and Stevie (aka Scruffy), her son John Brady Hranicky with his wife Angela and their children Jerry Kinser, Jacob and JohnDavid Hranicky and great-grandchildren Jameson and Jaxon, her daughter Amy Elizabeth Hranicky Auranicky with her wife Janele and their children Giada, Gemma and Vivian, and her daughter-in-law Lyn Hranicky who helped care for Charleen while dealing with her own illnesses, her sister Marcelle Hawkins, brother-in-law Gary, sister-in-law Marilynn Boudreau, nine nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.In honor of Charleen, the Rosary will be held at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas at 5:00 pm February 18, 2019, followed by the viewing from 6 pm – 8 pmCatholic Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on 950 Trails Pkwy, Garland, TX 75043 at 10:30 am Tuesday, February 19, 2019, which will be directly followed by the graveside services at Restland Funeral Home
