Charlene Lee's Obituary
Charlene Lee, 87, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 10, 2019, surrounded by her devoted family in Dallas, Texas. She was born on December 20,1931 to her loving parents John and Mary Evelyn Randles. Her passing came quite suddenly but we were given the gift of a few hours with her. With her family around her, we shared memories and she quoted scripture and shared with us all the things she had been thankful for, from family to nature to having a bed to sleep in. We sang hymns and prayed over her when she could no longer speak, and it was the sweetest but hardest few hours of our lives. We were so blessed to have had the best Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Sister as a role model in our lives. The last words she said were “I get to bow down at the feet of Jesus” and “I have no fear”. We pray each one of you will have that same peace and excitement about death. If you don’t have the peace that can only come from a relationship with Jesus, we would love to honor her memory by telling you more. Our family will forever miss her, but we are forever blessed for having known her.Charlene is survived by her children Diane Kolendo and her husband Wayne, her son Jerry Lee and his wife Leann. Charlene was dearly loved by her four grandchildren Keenan Kolendo and his wife Crystal, Andrea Taylor and her husband Chris, Laura Windley and her husband Johnny, and Lindsey Weissgarber and her husband Andrew.Charlene was very proud of her six great-grandchildren Kaden Kolendo, Cami Kolendo, Carson Kolendo and Leighton Taylor, Ellery Taylor and Levi Taylor.Charlene is also survived by her sister Carolyn Kay and nephew Randy Selley, whom she loved and adored.Preceded in death by her husband Joe Dan Lee in 1992, married 42 years and by her daughter Pamela Turk in 1988.
