Charlene Mae Turvey's Obituary
Charlene Mae Turvey was born October 19, 1930 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and departed from this world on September 20, 2016 in Richardson, Texas. Charlene enjoyed family time and vacations with her children and grandchildren; shopping with her grandchildren; and visiting with friends and relatives. Charlene was an avid reader covering a wide range of topics, both fiction and non-fiction. She enjoyed cooking and trying out various new and old recipes and watching shows she enjoyed on television. Charlene’s passion though was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She fulfilled her passion with an open heart and an open mind which left a lasting impression on those closest to her. Charlene was preceded in death by her father, William Singers Black, Sr; mother, Lillian Maudie Black (Wilson); son, Patrick William Turvey; brother, William Singers Black, Jr. and sister, Marion Spicer. The memory of Charlene’s love will be cherished by those she left behind which include her husband, Everett James Turvey; son, James Everett Turvey; daughter, Sandra Turvey Grider and Sandra’s husband James Grider; granddaughters, Makenzie and Alyssa Grider; and cousin, Joan Kitzman – Broomfield, CO. A memorial service will be held on October 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA or your favorite charity.
