I had the pleasure of meeting Charles Avery when he was visiting Charley
( Carolyn) Avery here in Pebble Beach a few years ago.
We had a long, long, enjoyable conversation. I learned that he was soft spoken, thoughtful and had clever sense of humor. I then understood very well why Charley always spoke so fondly of her father while talking during the group training classes that she led at the Pebble Beach Club.

I learned that he was soft spoken, but very interesting and possessed a clever sense of humor. I now understand better why Charley (Carolyn) always spoke so fondly of her father while talking in the group classes that she lead at the Pebble Beach club.
