Charles Carter Bentley's Obituary
Carter Bentley passed away in the early hours of Monday, October 12, 2015. Carter was born in Dallas, Texas on September 5, 1963. He called many places home and spent a great deal of time in England with family and friends. In 1999, Carter married childhood friend, Victoria Newman. They had first met in England on a putting green when Carter was 16 and Victoria was 14. Eighteen years later, they met up again in the UK and were engaged within three months, to the delight of both families. Carter was a man of enormous passions which included music, golfing, and spending time with friends, but on June 6, 2005, his heart got even bigger with the birth of their child Sophie. You could not spend more than a moment with Carter and not know of his love for his wife and daughter. Carter and Victoria were happily married for 16 years. Their energy and love will extend well beyond the time they had together. Throughout his life, Carter was greatly blessed to have the most extraordinary, beautiful, and loving friends a man could have. He loved them back deeply. Carter is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Eversole Bentley. He is survived by his wife, Victoria, their daughter, Sophie, his father, Russell Bentley, Jr., his brother Bonner Bentley, his sister, Margaret Bentley, her children Carson and Fletcher McHone, his Aunt, Camille Brennan Smith, and his UK family, the Newmans. He loved his family and his many friends throughout the world. Services will be held at 3pm, Saturday, October 24th at Wildwood Chapel, Restland, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas Texas. Reception to follow. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
