Charlie was born in Bronx, New York July 7, 1924 and passed away December 26, 2014 at his home in Richardson, Texas. Charlie is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Phyllis Gilo Blackford. Smith The memorial service for Charles Blackford will be held on January 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1210 W. Belt Line Road in Richardson, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Vet Dog Program at The Guide Dog Foundation with contributions being recieved at any Wells Fargo Bank under the name of Charles Blackford.
