Charles Robert Brown's Obituary
Charles Robert Brown of Dallas, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2014. He was born in Sperryville, VA on January 28, 1934 and graduated from Rappahannock High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War, proudly serving as a Platoon Sargent with the US Army. Upon completion of his military service, he graduated from Virginia Tech University. He remained a lifelong fan of the Hokies and the Washington Redskins. He began his career with US Steel in Pittsburgh, PA and in 1965 relocated his family to Oxford, OH. In 1980, he moved to Dallas and continued his career in Information Systems, and later established CRB Associates. Charles is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lois Wetzel Brown; his parents, Maury Willis and Eleanor DeShazo Brown; brothers, Maury Willis Jr. and Gerald; and his sister, Phyllis Shirey. Charles is survived by his brother, Allen; sisters, Elizabeth Williams and Jean Konek; and children, Jill (Ronald) Dean of New Albany, OH, Jennifer (Gregory) Hurley of Basking Ridge, NJ, Kelly (John) Jorgenson of Lake in the Hills, IL, Matt Brown of Houston, Kate (Michael) Fraser of Colorado Springs, CO; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild in addition to his brother and sister in law, loving nieces and nephews and many friends. The family wishes to thank his caregivers, Alice and Arthur Chirima and Stella Musesengwa. The memorial service for Charles will be at 09:30 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2014 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
