Charles Bryant Guy's Obituary
Charles Bryant Guy, Ret. USMC Lt. Col. passed away April 15, 2011 in Dallas. A rosary will be held at 5:00 pm Sunday 4/17 at St. Joseph’s Retirement Village in Coppell. A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday April 18th in the chapel at St. Joseph’s Village. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park. He served in the US Marie Corps from 1942 to 1966. He served in WW II and the Korean Conflict. After receiving a law degree from the University of Memphis Law School he served as a senior legal advisor and with the Office of the Judge Advocate General. He also served as a judge of the Navy Court of Review. After retirement from the military he worked for Trailways for 16 years as Vice President of Risk Management. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Anderson Guy, Sr. and Katie May Lamb Guy, sister Virginia Young, brothers, George A. Guy, Jr, James L. Guy and Robert Guy, daughter Katherine Maura Guy Todd and son-in-law Richard Custy. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Lucille Guy, daughters Janet Anthony (Doug) and Diane Custy; grandchildren Stephen Custy, Amanda Custy-Schaas (Johnny), Justin Anthony (Desiree) and Alexander Anthony and great grandson Everett Anthony. Memorials may be made to the North Texas Food Bank or Metrocrest Social Services in Carrollton.
