We're very sorry for your loss. We appreciated being neighbors for more than 20 years and, as users of the alleyway, we greatly enjoyed the lovely driveway garden that Charles and Kathryn created.

I will never forget the day Chuck called me back in 2004 (nearly 12 years ago) when he asked if I would like to co-write a book about Garland High School football. I jumped at the chance and thanks to his expertise and experience as a sports writer, Chuck and I saw this book dream become reality in early February 2011 (during the Metroplex ice storm!). RIP Charles! I thank you for all your help in getting GARLAND FOOTBALL published!
I will always remember Chuck's phone call back about 12 years ago when he asked if I would like to co-write a book about Garland High School football covering over 100 years. I jumped at the chance…and I am so glad I did. He gave me assurances during the process of getting the book written that it would be published…and it finally was published five years ago this past February (during that ice storm!). I value Chuck's experience and his expertise in making this book dream a reality. I will definitely miss Chuck and what he meant to me as a fellow Owl ex. RIP Charles!
