Charles E. Case Jr.'s Obituary
On Easter Sunday, 1984, Charles Ernest Case, Jr. “Ernest”, gave his heart to Jesus. On September 7, 2015, Ernest met his Savior face to face. He was surrounded by his family who dearly loved him. Born in Dallas, TX February 4, 1954 to Dora Mae and Charles Ernest Sr., Ernest was the oldest of three boys. Ernest took on a role of being a responsible person at a young age which carried throughout his life. He learned his work ethic from his parents which he also carried throughout his life and which he was greatly admired for. Ernest graduated from Spruce High School in 1972 at which time he began working for Willow Distributors. Over the last 43 years Ernest worked in the beer business with his latest employment with Andrews Distributing in Allen, TX in the position of Vice-President and General Manager. Ernest is preceded in death by his beloved father, Charles Ernest Sr. and his brother, J.I. Case. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara Keiffer Case, whom he married on January 1, 1977, his sons, Chad Case and wife Dawn of Plano, Brandon Case and wife Courtney of Dallas, and Jordan Case of McKinney, Grandchildren, Coltyn Case, Kynzie Case, Alexander Case and Grayson Case, his mother, Dora Case Housewright of Dallas, a brother Jordan Case and his wife Karen of Plano, a sister Charlotte Currie and her husband Larry of Sulphur, LA, sister-in-law, Pat Wheeler and husband Barry of Nolanville, sister-in-law Shirley Booth and husband Phil of Seagoville, sister-in-law Brenda Case of Mabank and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and numerous friends who will all miss his jovial spirit. Ernest is also survived by his “other family”, his co-workers and friends at Andrews Distributing. Ernest was an avid hunter and also enjoyed golf and the outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and being a grandfather. Family will receive friends on September 10, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX. Service will be held on September 11, 2015 at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, 1015 Sam Rayburn Tollway, Allen, TX with Brother Jim Everidge officiating. A reception will follow at Andrews Distributing, 1300 Andrews Parkway, Allen, TX. Our family wishes to thank all our family and friends for the love and support the last six months during Ernest’s valiant fight, his oncologist, Dr. C. Lance Cowey and his staff at Texas Oncology, Dallas, the staff at Baylor Hospitals, Dallas and McKinney and the Celina rescue unit and a special thank you to Barry Andrews and Mike Barnes and the Andrews Distributing team for their kindness and generosity. We give God the glory for the life of Ernest Case.
