Charles W. Chase's Obituary
Charles Wesley Chase (Chuck), age 70, of Sunnyvale, Texas died February 27, 2021 after being diagnosed 2 years ago with glioblastoma brain cancer. He was born in Dallas county to Nelson and Maurine Chase in 1950.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kaitlin Chase of Melbourne, Australia and Michelle Chase of Tyler, Texas. Even though the girls are grown, they are still “Daddy’s little girls” and they will miss him very much. He is also survived by his siblings: one brother, Jackie Chase of Rowlett, Texas and 3 sisters, Carol Kelsey of Burkburnett, Texas, Judy Sullivan of Pinson, Alabama and Jeanne Skelton of Jacksonville, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mother, Maurine Conner Chase, who died in 1955 when Chuck was only 5 years old and Father, Nelson Chase.
Chuck went into the Army right after High School and served in Vietnam for 14 months. When he got home he went to college and studied agriculture. He was a truck driver by occupation but had many interests over the years. Each of his interests would give him another group of friends. When he was younger, he loved windsurfing and all water sports. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and bicycles. He had a farm in Greenville and enjoyed raising his cows. His passion of the past 20 or so years has been country dancing and he was very good at it and met many wonderful friends. He will be sadly missed and always remembered by family, neighbors and friends.
