Charles A. "Chas" Haynes IV's Obituary
HAYNES, IV, CHARLES A., known to family and friends as “Chas”, died unexpectedly on August 7, 2013, at age 25. Instead of focusing on regret over a life cut short too soon, we are grateful for his entering our lives and for shared times spent together, relationships made and sweet memories that are ours forever. Chas was born on November 23, 1987, in Midland, Texas. He graduated from Midland High School and attended Midland College and the University of Arkansas. Chas loved sports, good friends, smart conversation and his family. He is survived by his father and mother, Charles A. Haynes III of Dallas and Galen Burnett Click of Midland; his brother and sister, Marcus Kettle Haynes and Alison Glitsch Haynes; his aunt and uncle, Vicki and Kent Newsom of Dallas; cousin, Douglas Newsom; uncle, Burk Burnett of Honolulu; and grandfather, Naud Burnett of Dallas. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Haynes Jr. (Polly) of Midland; and Carol Glitsch Burnett of Dallas. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Chas Haynes will be held on Thursday, August 15th, at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 800 West Texas Avenue, Midland, Texas. A private inurnment service will be held at Restland Abby Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, August 17th at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, 800 West Texas Avenue, Midland, Texas 79701.
