Charles William Forst's Obituary
Charles William Forst, 74, of Dallas, passed away on February 19, 2021. Charles was born August 12, 1946, in Waco Texas, the son of William and Hilda Forst. He was a 1964 graduate of West High School prior to his time in the Army fighting for his country in the Vietnam War. In 1968, he was united in marriage to Linda Forst in Dallas, Texas. He graduated Abilene Christian college with a BBA in 1974. He was a long-time member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. He spent over 30 years working as a Project Manager for Bell South, Southwestern Bell, AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Avaya. Charles especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, working in his flower gardens and visiting with family, friends and neighbors.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hilda Forst of Glenn Heights, Texas; Pasquale and Anna Tedesco of Dallas, Texas.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years, Linda Forst of Dallas; his son, Michael Forst and wife Jennifer, of Ennis; his daughter, Melissa Acosta and husband Jesse, of Dallas; his grandchildren, Corbin, Jacob, Marisa and Juliana; his sister, Charlotte Forst; his sister, Doris Forst; his sister, Janice Forst; his brother, Eugene Forst; his sister, Marilyn Hardy and husband Steve; his sister, Diana Lovell and husband Mark; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive visitors (come and go) from 3pm to 5pm, Saturday, March 6th at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. A Mass will be celebrated at St Monica Catholic Church of Dallas on Monday, March 15th at 10am or you can live stream at www.youtube.com/c/stmonicacatholicchurch. Burial immediately following Mass at 1pm, at the DFW National Cemetery. Limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are required at all indoor services
