Charles Robert Forsyth's Obituary
Charles Robert Forsyth, 92 years of age, passed away November 23, 2025, in Allen, Texas. Bob was born June 13, 1933, in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas where he lettered in football, basketball, and ROTC, and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After graduating from KU, Bob married Julie Ann Underhill and moved to San Diego where he was an officer in the United States Navy. Julie and Bob moved back to Kansas after his time in the Navy and started a family. Their children were Leslie, Lisa, and Rob, all born in Kansas. The family then moved to Dallas where Bob started a career in banking. His favorite hobbies included golf and running, both of which he continued until he was 86 years old. Leslie and Rob are the surviving members of the family.
Bob’s true love was our king and savior Jesus Christ. He preached at Union Gospel Mission every Monday night for three decades and was heavily involved in discipleship of inmates in his prison ministry. Bob never met a stranger with whom he did not share the gospel of Jesus with and made quite an impact on growing his kingdom during his time on Planet Earth. His gravestone will be engraved with “Man of God” which best describes his mission for the last 55 years of his life! There will be a graveside service on December 11, 2025, at Restland Cemetery at 12:00 PM, with a visitation prior to the service at Restland Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. He is survived by Leslie Forsyth, Rob Forsyth, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
